Summer Institute 2011 »
The Arctic adventure took place from July 24 - July 31, 2011! Participants were welcomed at a community feast organized by Parks Canada. The course featured a tour of the new Nunavut research vessel, the Nuliajuk, a visit to the fish plant in Pangnirtung, and talks from territorial and federal scientists working on conservation issues critical to the North. CWF thanks Parks Canada, the Nunavut Arctic College and First Air for their contributions to the success of this course.

National Wildlife Week »

Proclaimed by an act of Parliament in 1947, NWW falls every year the week of April 10, the birthday of Jack Miner, one of the founders of Canada’s conservation movement.

Rivers to Oceans Week »
This country and water go hand in hand. We are the stewards of one-fifth of the world’s fresh water and can proudly claim about 2 million lakes, not to mention enough rivers, marshes, swamps, bogs, fens, sloughs and ponds to make a duck quack! With three mighty oceans offering us more than 200,000 kilometres of coastline — the longest coastline in the world —Canada is truly a watery wonderland.
