How we distribute the funds

Ever wonder how we divvy up the money you kindly donate to our organization? Eavesdrop on the conversations in the accounting office of any Canadian charitable organization and you're bound to hear the phrase "the 80-20 rule" used a few times.  Revenue Canada says that 80 per cent of all of our receipted donations must be spent on programs and only 20 per cent can be put towards administration. That includes the maintenance of our building, our salaries and all of our office supplies like computers and furniture. This ensures that most of the money we receive goes towards what we do — advocating for the protection of wildlife and natural spaces.
