 Richard Leitch Bursary

The Richard Leitch Bursary was created in 2011 in memory of Richard Leitch who worked at the Canadian Wildlife Federation as General Manager from August 1990 to June 2005 and then previous to that as Controller from May 1984 to July 1990.

Richard’s family was very supportive of creating a bursary in his name and specified that the funding be directed towards applicants involved in environmental research in Northern Canada, as this was a cause close to Richard’s heart.

This will be an annual bursary to be awarded to graduate students and a maximum of $5,000 has been allocated per year.

This bursary will be launched as part of our 50th Anniversary celebration. The deadline for applicants is May 25, 2012.
