Now that summer is in full swing, following our tremendous success with Walk for Wildlife why not continue showing your support for wildlife and biodiversity conservation in celebration of the United Nation’s International Year of Biodiversity?
Log your kilometers or nautical miles and consider making a pledge.
CWF will match $1 for every dollar pledged toward developing education programs to get students and youth outside. Show your support by forwarding this email and encouraging your friends and family to get involved and get outdoors.
Here are some ideas to get you started:
• Celebrate Canada’s Parks Day! It’s a great way to explore Canada’s outdoors and get to know a park near you.
• Get started by logging your kilometers as you hike along on a trail or bike or walk to and from the park.
• Count your kilometers for wildlife if you cycle to and from such places as your workplace or the grocery store or if you’re enjoying a family outing on bikes.
• Don’t forget to log your nautical miles if you’re sailing or canoeing!
When you log your distance, be sure to complete the comments section to share your experience or wildlife observations during your outings.
CWF will be highlighting selected experiences in a future issue of its Canadian Wildlife magazine.
Get your name entered into our draw! All participants who register their kilometers or nautical miles will be eligible for a draw of a framed Robert Bateman print.
So head out to celebrate Canada’s Parks Day and join in the Walk, Bike or Hike for Wildlife.
