Summer Course 2009
Join the Canadian Wildlife Federation’s Learning Institute at historic Acadia University for our inaugural Summer Institute!
The Summer Institute is a new initiative of the Canadian Wildlife Federation’s Learning Institute. The program is designed for educators to expand their knowledge of wildlife, conservation and biodiversity. Curricula offers teachers and non-formal educators an opportunity for unique learning experiences with scientists, conservationists and education professionals. Opportunities include:
- An investigation of tidal life in and around the Bay of Fundy
- Exploring issues facing forests and their management
- Applying creative arts such as drama, art and technology to teach conservation
- A field study in Kejimkujik National Park to examine threatened and endangered reptiles and amphibians
