Educators are invited to set sail with the CWF Learning Institute on the St. Lawrence River from August 4-14. This unique professional development opportunity features guided explorations of the Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park, where salt water mixes with fresh, and humpbacks swim with fin whales. CWFLI’s  2010 Summer Institute combines science with new technologies and sailing to encourage explorations of the biodiversity of this unique ecosystem. It is here that a number of whale species congregate to feed and raise their young including the largest animal on earth, the majestic blue whale. Discover how research has helped to create regulations that enable us to co-exist in this very fragile habitat. This event is hosted by Dr. Yves Jean, a Founding Fellow of the CWF Learning Institute and Director of the Science and Technology department for the University of Quebec in Montreal (TELUQ).  Qualified educators may also enroll in this Summer Institute to earn a university credit.
