Half of North America gets drinking water from rivers and lakes also known as surface water. It is also being used as a dumping ground for municipal, industrial and agricultural waste. What can you do to help keep our rivers and lakes clean?

Ground Water

The earth can be a wonderful filtration system, but some of the contaminated water that seeps into underground aquifers can't be cleaned up by mother nature. How can you help protect our drinking water? 

The quality and quantity of our fresh water resources are in jeopardy. In some parts of the country waterways are dwindling while in others they are becoming so polluted that the water can't be consumed. What can you do to help conserve and protect our fresh water?

What we put down our sinks and toilets goes through a series of treatments, but some things we put down the drain can't be cleaned up and end up in our lakes and rivers. What can you do to keep our drinking water clean?

There are 3 sets of pipes under our streets; drinking water, waste water and storm water. Excess water and rainfall flushes yard chemicals or oil and gas from the street untreated into our rivers and lakes. How can you help keep our waterways clean?
