Your Connection to Wildlife

The Byrds had it right. To everything, there is a season. After a long, blustery winter, there’s spring. This balancing act comes naturally for Mother Nature, but when humans step into the mix, the balance can easily get out of whack. This National Wildlife Week, CWF is focusing on native plants. From dousing our lawns with pesticides to introducing non-native plants, we’ve really taken a toll on our nation’s ecosystem. It’s a domino effect. With native plant numbers diminishing, the wildlife that depend on them suffer. What can you do? Join CWF and protect our country’s native plants! However you help wildlife, whether you put up a single birdhouse or work to transform an entire community, your actions make a meaningful difference.

This National Wildlife Week, CWF will be heading to the Toronto Zoo and the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre in Whistler, B.C. to host launch events in those communities. No matter where you live, I hope you will join CWF this year to mark National Wildlife Week in your own way. Let’s strike the right balance for wildlife!

Sincerely,

wade luzny
