Please Save Snakes

One of Canada’s youngest nature crusaders sent CWF a moving petition, signed by 91 people, with a simple but poignant message: Please Save Snakes. 

Amanda, now eight-years-old, first fell in love with snakes at the age of five when one scared her mother in their backyard in Guelph, Ontario.  Since that day, Amanda has become a dedicated reader of books about snakes. 

Ask Amanda why she cares about snakes and she says she’s worried for their future because of the way people treat them.  Everyone at Amanda’s school knows about her passion for snakes and she has passed on her enthusiasm to those around her.  But best of all, Amanda has helped her mother overcome a fear of snakes.  After receiving the petition, CWF continued Amanda’s appeal online.
