 What We Do

Learn About Canadian Wildlife »

We want to show you a snapshot of Canada’s biodiversity and provide you with information on some of your backyard plants and animals.

Wildlife and Conservation Issues  »

At CWF we focus our attention on national issues that impacts Canada’s wildlife populations and natural resources. We want to ensure that wildlife populations and their habitats are conserved in a sustainable manner to be enjoyed by future generations.

Our Habitat »

Home is where there’s habitat. Habitat is where we live, any place we call home. Our goal is to be the voice for Canada’s native creatures by preserving, teaching about and creating habitat to ensure that Canadian wildlife populations also have a place to call home.

Advanced Gardening »

You know the basics. Soil, organics, and providing food, water, and shelter for wildlife are all second nature. But now you’d like to take on some specific projects. Think about creating edge habitat or introducing some native ornamental grasses to your design scheme. Check out our host of garden projects that will introduce you to some of the finer points of gardening with wildlife in mind.

Be Green »

Aren’t all gardeners green? Not entirely. To be a fully green gardener, you
need to consider the effect your gardening choices have on the environment
around you. Using pesticides or wasting resources, such as water, may seem like
a small thing if you consider your garden in isolation. But there are millions
of gardens across the country. If we all waste resources or add pollutants to
our environment it compounds to have a significant effect.
