Pollinators are animals that help transfer flower pollen, allowing the plant to produce seeds and fruit. Some pollinators include bees, wasps, butterflies, moths, flies and some beetles. Besides these insects, hummingbirds also play this vital role of pollination.
Thanks to these animals and the plants they pollinate we enjoy blueberries and tomatoes, avocados and chocolate, cucumbers and more! Browse through these pages to learn more about some of Canada's pollinators, and stay tuned for more resources to help you garden with pollinators in mind.
