Welcome to the Canadian Wildlife Federation’s Demonstration Garden. It was created to show Canadians that native plants are both beautiful and beneficial. Some beds have plants that are known to attract certain species, such as our Bird Bed. Other beds have plants that grow in specific conditions, such as our Bog Bed.
Together, these trees, shrubs, vines, ferns, grasses and herbaceous perennials create habitat for wildlife all year long. They provide food such as nectar, pollen, fruit and seeds, space for resting and nesting and shelter from the elements and predators.
