The Canadian Wildlife Federation is encouraging the public to help conserve and protect water in celebration of Rivers to Oceans Week, June 7-13, 2009. The theme of the campaign is stewardship, exploring the many ways individuals can help protect this precious resource and the wildlife that depend on it.

Water is a precious resource that supports fish and wildlife populations; provides important ecological functions; is used in agriculture, industry and recreation; not to mention the main source of drinking water for many Canadians.
