Mulch, mulch, mulch in flower and vegetable gardens. To the North and West plant conifers;to the East and South plant deciduous trees. No need for air conditioning.

Over 40 years ago, my Dad installed a large, raised water tank at the cottage to collect rain water from the roof. It feeds by gravity to the bathroom sink, toilet and kitchen sink. We've been using rain water for most of our water needs at the cottage for years now!
