Donating your RRSPs, RRIFs, TFSAs, Publicly-traded Securities

Other Potential Legacy Gifts for Today

Just as most of the money or other property given through Wills to the Canadian Wildlife Federation comes from the residue (what is left of the estate), the same can be true of the money from retirement plans at a person’s death. It is an easy and ‘no cost’ way to create a Legacy Gift.

There are certainly many other gifts CWF would welcome. Property of any kind can be given, subject to any conditions agreed on by the giver and CWF. A person can:

  • Give outright
  • Give title to the property now, but retain the lifetime rights
  • Give the income only while retaining control of the principal
